Deliberations

Today, along with being the deadline for this monthly post, is Halloween. It also happens to be the night of a volleyball game at my school that I actually really want to go to. However, I have plans with Chrys and her friend Vanessa to carve our pumpkins tonight. As some may remember from my posts last year (wow, that is really weird to say), this whole pumpkin carving thing was a blast. Smelly and somewhat irritating at times, but it was so fun! I'm thinking, though, that I'd rather go to the game with my friends. That could still change, though.

Anyway, now that I've bored you with my insignificant worries, let's see what there is to catch up for this month. I've decided that this year I want to go on a missions trip. I've never done anything of the sort, and I really think it'll be a good experience for me. Orientation is on Tuesday for everybody who applied, and I'll find out where I'm going then. I'm so nervous, though. What if I do everything wrong? It's scary. And it's not even entirely real to me that it's happening. There are apparently going to be a lot of team meetings and stuff before then, so we'll have time to get acquainted and go over what we'll be doing, I guess. Maybe then it will feel more real to me.

Do you see now why my posts have dwindled so drastically? This is pretty much all I can find to say about this month. This is pathetic. Um....oh! I finished the work shirt I was making in sewing for my mom. Yay. I'm very happy about that. Although that means I have to move on to the next project, which is a recycling thing. We have to find one or more old articles of clothing that we don't wear anymore and make something totally new out of them. I've decided that I want to take a bunch of shirts, rip them apart, and make a skirt out of the cloth. What do you think? Any other suggestions out there?

Oh, we're doing First Aid training in P.E. now. I'm so happy. I love it. I'm not looking forward to what our next section is going to be, though. Basketball officiating. Joy. A sport that I hate with a passion, and I'll probably have to sit there controlling the scoreboard or something. Super. I'd rather walk on hot coals. But, what can I do? I need at least five service hours for P.E. each term, or I'll fail that term. That would not be so fun. Volleyball officiating was fun, I like volleyball, but basketball? Sorry to any basketball fans out there. It might be a fun game to play if you actually have that ability, but I would rather not submit myself to watching it if it can be avoided.

There, that's better. A little more length to it now. Have a happy Halloween everybody! Be safe!
