Tonight was the second night that I helped out Chrys and her friend Vanessa in DC4K(Divorce Care for Kids). It was so much fun. We've only had two girls the past two weeks, but they are so much fun to be with. Tonight we had a very special activity amidst all the other things we did. We painted. But not with paint. Vanessa brought shaving cream and put five dots on the table, one in front of each of us. We each spread out our spots so they were flat. They were our canvases. We drew different things, and then to erase we just mixed it all up again.
But that's not the end of the madness. Somewhere along the line, one of our girls got the idea that we should spread it all out so it covered the table. And we did just that. It's amazing to me how much space five spots of shaving cream can cover. We covered that entire round table, and once we finished we drew one big scene on it. Trees, flowers, birds, a beautiful nature scene. Of course, it wasn't nearly as much fun to clean up afterward, but it was definitely worth it. Unfortunately, no one thought to bring a camera, so we don't have any pictures for you. But you can take my word for it, it was a lot of fun.
